America's Push Button Wars

Today I see unmanned predator drones were being flown into Tripoli in the latest attempt to tip a civil war in favor of the so called "rebels."  Senator John McCain was over there this week leading the call for more war.
All these unmanned weapons seem so antiseptic back here thousands of miles away...Just wonder what its like to be sitting down for dinner and then being vaporized by something you never saw coming...I don't like our involvement in all these entaglements as the logic behind them suggests we head to Damascus next.

Nothing like a nice, clean war, eh? Dropping bombs while pushing buttons in Denver on people in Libya... what a career move.

"US drone strike in Pakistan kills 26 ... some of the slain are still being referred to as "suspects" ... destroyed some nearby homes killing at least nine civilians, five women & four children." - story by Jason Ditz.

One need not be a "damn, dirty, hippie mayor" to be outraged by murder done in your name & on your dime. Murder that nobly hides behind all your "Support the Troops" stickers.

President Obama - winner of the Nobel Peace Prize - many months ago had already surpassed the numbers murdered Bush murdered these drone attacks.

"Come tell us how you slew
Them old Arabs two by two

Like the Zulus they had spears & bows & arrows.

How you bravely slew each one
With your sixteen-pounder gun
And you frightened them poor natives to their marrow."

Dannie, isn't this just like Clinton's war against the Serbs? Its not like its a new concept. And it is your guy doing it. I'm surprised you brought it up.

We haven't heard anything from you or Mikey about June O'Neill and the theft of taxpayer's money.

Time to shift priorities away from being the world's police force . Too damn much $$$$$$$$$$$$$ WASTED on the military/industrial complex . Eisenhower WARNED us of the duplicity when he left office and the man was the Leader of the Allied Expeditonery Forces in WWII.

Our budget have been BUSTED for yrs by this continued foolishness. We have so many other higher need priorities than this continual warmaking for profiteers in the private sector as well as the military

10:38 is right. We need to stop wasting money on national defense so we can waste more on School Superintendents we don't need.

12:43 is NOT making sense at all there is ABSOLUTELY NO Correlation between the two issues at all. I want fewer districts and a county wide superintendancy . BUT 12:43 is way out of line mixing the two issues and trying to cloud and obfuscate the issues being discussed . He is relatively far off the mark on his reasoning . You want to talk about more cost effectiveness in education fine but it has NOTHING to do with THIS issue

The Military/Industrial complex has wasted not only our financial but also our human resources fighting these police actions so that they may continue to GET appropriations that are beyond the rate of the CPI

You're right, 2:49, I've been known to be a terrible individual now and then. But folks like you who spew "military industrial complex" puke usually have no problem with wasting more money on the teacher union. You hate waste in one area, but have no problem with it in another. And another thing, the military didn't make the choice to fight these "police actions" as you imply, that was your Annointed Prez who make that decision. It is all much more connected than you choose to admit, per se.

4:18 OPEN your EYES IDIOT I saiD IAM AGAINST waste in education .

Sheesh are you really that stupid or do you just love your opinions so damn much you twist everything ? Listen for a change READ , Think , just don't show your bias constantly.

Damn you must be a trainwreck to be around ! :>)
