Newsweek Michele Bachmann cover ‘sexist’ and in bad form? - BlogPost - The Washington Post

Is the MSM so worried about Rep. Michelle Bachmann they intentionally put a picture on Newsweek that makes her look crazy ? Yes, of course they are !
Of course, my old friend Dan is saying, 'well, she is crazy.'
Nothing scares the left more than a Tea Party zealot whom they cannot dismiss as "stupid" or "ill informed." She won't get the nomination, as there is still a lot of animus towards women in politics and the GOP is skittish over what happened in 2008.
She's a crazy b---- with really bad headaches....That's really the message Newsweek sends to its diminishing pool of readers...

We just lose a gazillion dollars today in the stock market because we refuse to live within our means, and what does MSM warn us of, why a crazy woman who demands that we send less. I can see why your friend Dannie feels threatened. This woman is has got to be absolutely out of her mind.

I don't think that's what Newsweek did at all, Jeff. I think NW simply played their biased hand and smeared her. They hate her and fear her. This is what they have to do. Lots of people who live off others fear someone who says the party must stop.

I hate Obama because he is black and I hate Michele because she is a woman. I have no idea what either person stands for but it is a sure bet I could not be against them for what they stand for.

11:19 is right. It's not the fact that we are now headed for a depression. It's the fact that The Great and Annointed One is Black. That, along with fact that we must hate Bachmann. She has the wrong kind of vagina. Keep your hatred straight.

Well at least your 1/2 honest...1/2 of the time.

That's a perfect picture of Bachmann. As Jeff said, she's a zealot, and not in a good way.

No 12:52 I am 100% honest half the time. The fact is that both Obama and Machele suck and it has nothing to do with having lady parts or skin pigments, it is their stance on issues.

Now admittedly, Michele would be ten times better than Obama, but that does not mean we have to settle for her at this time.

Yes 7:12. We hate her. We hate anyone who tells us we can't keep spending our grandkids' money.

Much ado about nothing. She doesn't have a prayer. They may love her in Iowa, but nationally she won't get any traction. Newsweek probably did her a favor by doing this. Get a little sympathy vote.

I haven't read the article but I wonder if they mentioned the federally backed home loan she received for her house, or the hundreds of thousands of dollars her husband's family received in federal farm subsidies. I can see why she hates the government. Gee and to think I just went to the bank and got a mortgage with no federal handout. What a sucker I am. And I'm not even a tea partier. They are so fiscally conservative when it comes to other people getting a handout.

NEWSWEEK "Photo tries to make her look crazy." Ha...

That's not hard to do. She is certifiable. Bätshït Crazy is the right label for sure.

An excellent rundown on Bachmann appears the latest New Yorker Linked Here

Enjoy it - I sure did.

1:56 fails...
Of course she is going to make the programs put in place available to herself like they are every citizen. That does not mean she does not see the folly of those programs.

Dannie hates anyone one, male or female, who threatens his mailbox way of life. We have to stop spending what we don't have. The people who live on FreeStuff are understandably afraid. Even as their own children suffer, they demand that things stay the same. They can't.

Danny, just for the record, the story you linked to in the New yorker was bat s$it stupid. It did not have a single one of the valid criticisms and instead resorted to name calling and criticism because she likes to look nice in public.

Her positions that are labeled extreme are the same ones that won out in California when they put gay marriage to a vote.

Another fail for the libewrals....

8:32am… is this an example of the other ½ of the time when you are being dishonest?

But…I do agree with ½ of what you’re saying… more or less.

3:17...YOU FAIL!...as does Bachman! 1:56 is correct in pointing out the hypocracy.

You can rationalize the point all you want...she's still a hypocrite...and so are you if you FAIL to see it.

Bacmann crazy? I doubt it. But Newsweakling would never print a nutty photo of Nasty Pelosi. Now there is a spoiled rich brat.

7:09 calm down before you have a liberal stroke. Until Bachmann votes to have the government back home loans or votes to have the government subsidize farms then she is not a hypocrite in an honest sense of the world. No more so than Warren Buffet, because he is in favor of higher taxes but does not choose to pay higher taxes than the law requires him to. No more than John Stossel, who obtained a free golf cart from the government and showed it to the world on his television show.

Amen 7:07. The problem with the Tea Party is that it is 'do as I say, not as I do'. No one likes a hypocrite. And boy is she one. From the Medicaid money her husband takes, to all the gov't money she took for those foster kids. And for all the Tea Party's glorification of the 'private sector', how come she never worked there? From the IRS to her local school board, to Congress, she has been on the public tit. (Not that there is anything wrong with that, but they live to criticize others for doing it).

What's the big deal here ??- i saw the cover today and i do not think it looks bad at all .

She, whatever else she may be is a fine looking woman

So 6:39...whenever anyone has a different opinion than yours they are a "hater?"

Yet, you’re the only one on here that is spewing your “hate” theme on virtually every single thread. Maybe you’re the hater?

Seriously…your shtick is becoming so pathetically old that even you should be gagging on it by now.

You might want to consider a new act.

7:51--Let’s see… you’re trying to compare Warren Buffett paying his taxes accordingly and a free golf cart with Bachman bellying up to the Government trough for “FREE STUFF.”

Under the freedom of information act reporters have discovered that Bachmann’s husband’s “pray- away -the -gay” clinic has received $137,000 since 2005 from Medicaid… then she bitched about it while seeking public office.

The Bachman’s also have on record an additional $24,000 in state and Federal funds supposedly for training clinic personnel. Add to that, the family farm which she and her husband share… over $260,000 in Federal farm subsidies.

Grand Total So Far…Cha-Ching: $421,000.00.

Now THAT is what I call a lot of “FREE STUFF.” Not bad for a conservative.

It gets better… She's also been on the public dole for using 23 foster kids to collect untold thousands in welfare… but of course that was done out of the kindness of her right wing conservative Christian heart.

We've been paying for this high maintenance welfare queen most of her adult life. She has little credibility as a fiscal conservative….but plenty as a hypocrite.

If you’re going to “talk the talk”…you better be willing to … “walk the walk.”

The hypocrisy is not that she uses government programs…but that she criticizes them all the while benefitting from them herself.

And you can’t see the double standard 7:09? PUHleez…you can do better!

As far as News Week is concerned, hey… if you put yourself out there as a piñata then somebody is going to take a whack.

By the way… where’s the conservative Tea Party guy that’s always screaming about the “FREE STUFF” …he’s the one that should be having the stroke!

Oh that’s right…he’s probably too busy worrying about “chips and twinkies.”

I did not try to compare, I rightfully equated warren Buffet's tax payments and how they do not reconcile with his opinion that he should be taxed higher. I pointed out that it is that exact same principle that you are criticizing Bachmann over... a non-issue.

Anonymous said...

I don't think the 'FreeStuff' guy can respond. How do you defend someone like Bachman. She'll keep her subsidies, FannieMaes and Medicaid, but no one else gets any! The Tea Party will go the way of Fr. Coughlin, Joe McCarthy and all of history's hypocritical windbags

9:11 Dannie never provides anything other than hate when it comes to conservative women. It is a consistant middle-school argument that these women offer nothing of substance. Then again, Dannie has a degree in education. Can't expect much in the way of substance. This Newsweek cover would never have been done to a lib woman. Even you will admit that. Or will you? It really has little to do with ideology. Newsweek is supposed to news magazine, not a publication of the Donkey party. And Dannie is the first one to cry about Fox news being biased. While ignoring this tripe. A deserved PUKE is in order.

What is Buffet supposed to do, send in more than his tax bill? The Treasury would never accept a payment like that. Non issue.

Was Newsweek's picture a few years ago of a crazy looking Howard Dean anti male? Or anti liberal? Hmmmmm.

Anonymous said...

8:46… I fail to see what Warren Buffet’s taxes have to do with Michele Bachmann’s hypocrisy…apples and oranges... unless of course you’re trying to convolute the issue.

“It’s the exact same principle”… if you have a distorted sense of reality.

Here is another “non-issue” for you.

http://www.rolandsmartin.com/blog/index.php/2011/08/10/michele-bachmann-repeatedly-sought-stimulus-epa-other-government-funds/

As I said… she’s a pig at the trough. Have fun defending her.

“Was Newsweek's picture a few years ago of a crazy looking Howard Dean anti male? Or anti liberal? Hmmmmm.”

1:37… thanks for pointing that out… I forgot all about it. News Week is in the business of selling magazines…Bachmann just makes for an easy target as did Howard Dean at the time.

Newsweek has decided to sell magazines to one side of the aisle. That's ok. As long as you realize it has become a partisan rag you can spend your money accordingly.

Anonymous said...

Same could be said of Fox News on the other side of the aisle. (For what it is worth I am a Republican and have subscribed to Newseek in the past)
