Color of the Week....Teal

Change comes in all sorts of ways. This week City Hall staff is readying for Monday's arrival of a new city manager. In keeping with recent policy, offices are painted with an accent color of the employee's choosing
.
Ms. Addison chose  "Largo Teal".   Whether there is anything you can read into that , I don't know.   Kind of a Jimmy Buffett type choice.
The new manager will meet individually with Council members who first day and then get to work managing the affairs of City government.

Probably a throwback to the best years of her life...the Miami
Vice years.

Government office, government property, tax-payer funded, and the occupant gets to choose the color - why is that? Do other city employees get to choose their office colors?

Tell me that's not true!!! What color city car did she choose, or has she chosen one yet?

Is this tradition or "policy"? How about replacing the sidewalks on the beginning of Mill street? Starting from the Sugar Creek thru Francis Street. Or is that not the city's primary color choice of "policy".

Are you deleting comments you don';t like too? This is another waste of taxpayer money.

This is a good gesture. I assume the walls have not been painted in a long time and are in need of it. Anything you can do so cheaply to make a high level employee happy is usually worth it. same goes for the lowest paid employee too. But it doesn't cost anywhere near as much if the lowest paid guy decides to leave.

Anyone against this has never had a person work for them by choice before. Danny's leadership experience has court martial and firing squad in his arsenal of motivators...thereby making his experience worthless.

8:53: there you go again - way off the mark with another false/fake assessment about me ...

Do me a huge favor and p off (I'm trying to use a fancy word to not get booted here)...

Don't take it personal Danny. Just face the facts that your military experience has no bearing in the real world of management.

Wasn't me, Dannie. It was another of the masses who respect you. And yes, other city employees did get to pick colors for their offices. If it needed painting, why not give the workers some input? Whattaya want, Dannie, the unions to decide?

You're just mad because you always had to drive a green truck in the motor pool on the way to the front.

I find it hard to believe that a new coat of paint has so much talk or comment on. I painted my house and no one made a big deal out of it.If need be l will buy the paint and paint it for nothing.Any taker's for helping, didn't think so.

I'm very disappointed in you for painting your house, Dave. You should have gotten a grant. I know if you live near a golf course there's money available.
