Mayor Stephanie Miner of Syracuse is going to be "taken out at the knees" and chased out of her role as State Democratic Co-chair. Downstaters used those type of analogies. It's just the way they talk. I learned that from my years of dealing with Indy leadership.
It's all because she had the tumerity to trash Governor Cuomo's proposal on "pension smoothing" and even penned an OP/ED in the NY Times critical of Governor's plan.
Observers say Mayor Miner will step aside to concentrate on her reelection campaign.
It will be interesting to see if Eagle Street aids Ms. Miner's expected primary challenger in this years race in the Salt City.

She should have been comptroller or a man instead, then she would have permission to speak the truth without threats to get back in the kitchen.
Sometimes stereotypes aren’t.
This is a ruthless business and it requires the powerful like Cuomo to eat their own when there is dissent in the ranks.
Mikey the Middle (cl)ASS was about to be stomped on when he taunted with words of blasphemy toward Cuomo, then he wisely shut his mouth. Just like a good Mikey ought to behave.
Now it is time for Miner to go! She speaks with slightly more authority than some bloviating Black River guy like Mikey.
She's got bawls, unlike the the men in the state. Both sides of the aisle, I might add.
Stephanie Miner should be proud of herself. She spoke her mind without worrying about the consequences/toeing the party line. Good for her!!
Syracuse has a history of producing Democrats with courage. Some of us will never forget Mike Bragman. NO relation to our local MIKEY at all. This guy stood on his own beliefs and bent over for no one. He had to leave after taking on Thug Sheldon, but he left with his integrity intact. Do a google search, MCM. He was quite a guy. You could learn from him.
Maybe she will come over to "The Dark Side"
I see you failed spelling class at your hallowed j-school.
When Cuomo forced the competent black Governor Davis to bow out, so that he could take over as governor, he had Obama's support. I wonder if he has Obama's support this time?
She has COURAGE and that is something Cuomo will NEVERhave He is more the bully than the leader who seeks out THOSE who think OTHERWISE .
Encouraging siffering opinions and dealing with issues rather than PERSONALITIES is the stuff of real leadership.
Any jackwagon can use coersion, bullying and intimidation ro run an organization ,BUT real leaders encourage responsibile debate , inquiry and negotiation . so far THIS version of Cuomo is no better at rhat than the last version .
For THESE reasons he will NEVER play well on the national stage .
734-do you mean Gov Patterson?
The upstate democrats have to learn that they are no more respected by the "City" democrats than dog crap.
What would Republicans know about this anyway, they're always attacking their own party members and advisors. Karl Rove is not held in high esteem these days is he? You'd eat your young if there were five votes in it.
Call Your Bluff
Instead of worrying about Karl rove Mikey ought to be worried about DiNapoli, Miner, smiling Malcolm and the IDC and all the rest of "his party"
Bragmann??? Didnt he get caught up in the Erie Canel scandal???? Where Canal Corp. was purchased by him and his cronies for speculation, learned new tricks in Albany and bring them home.
No, Bragman was outed for opposing Smeldon Silver. Sure, in the same fashion we are seeing Mikey operate today, there are always people who want to cover the revenge by claiming "he did it too" BS. It's nice to see you following in such stupid footsteps, 6:56. Cover for the Thugs, that's you.

That was a weak reply ....
